The MAC Story

Ministry to Africans in Canada

MAC was founded in 2016 by John & Jennifer Brown after twenty years leading medical, educational and spiritual services to the people of Africa on their home continent.

Over the years the Browns became increasingly aware of the growing African population right in Canada. Many arrive here after years of tumult in war-ravaged countries or after long months languishing in refugee camps. Sometimes children and teens arrive in Canada before their parents. Often they struggle with the aftereffects of violence in their homeland. Almost always they feel dislocated by a new language, new schools, and new expectations.

MAC is about helping Africans in Canada live life to the full. Especially as they personally connect with their Creator. But adjusting to a different country can be hard. Everything is so different—and our extreme climate is just the beginning.
