MAC seeks to bring awareness, care, and healing to the untouched and often times invisible areas of young African/Canadian Kids’ lives. Many arrive here after years of tumult in war-ravaged countries or after long months languishing in refugee camps. Sometimes children and teens arrive in Canada before their parents. Often they struggle with the aftereffects of violence in their homeland. Almost always they feel dislocated by a new language, new schools, and new expectations.
I’ve learned a lot about the depth of pain that these children can carry. – Dr. Norman Musewe
